1. In the midst of a full-on pastoral situation we met the parents of the lovely young mum concerned (they are visiting from England) who it turns out used to live on Moor Lane, Chessington, Surrey... just down the road from where we used to live... in fact they knew our old road! Amazing.
2. Hook Evangelical Church have recently done a world vision weekend, as part of which they asked my sister to get some info from us in order for her to present to them what we're doing and how its going and a whole bunch of other stuff too... so they can be aware and pray for us! How awesome is that! We're so thankful for that sort of interest. it makes a real difference!

Visitors are coming!
We're getting excited at welcoming some family and some friends very soon now!
Our dear friend Claire will be visiting us in early December. She has CF and this will be quite a trip for her, but we're hoping and praying that she'll be able to relax for a short while in this beautiful part of Tasmania.
Pete and Anne (G's oldest sis) and Jerusha and Carl are coming on the 10th Dec to stay for a while. We can't wait! It's so good to have visitors.
If you're going down under... Tassie is the place... (not just because we're here)... but its something you've got to experience for yourself! Get in touch.
In other news, i caught my first Southern Clamari of the Summer just the other day! Great fun to catch, awesome to eat!

All decked out
Last week a good friend of mine actually gave me the compliment of being a man of action when it comes to certain 'projects' around the house and garden. We now have a 5.5 x 5.5m deck in the back garden... however very little of it was down to my 'action'! Yes, the idea was mine - I'm good with ideas - but my lovely wife and my brother in law hatched the plan of all important action. Yes i dug the holes for the footings, but then i just stood around while Jake measured and positioned and cut and nailed stuff together, and while another friend set things out for the top... AHH but then i got to put 2 nails in every slat, over every joist, with an average of 6-7 hammer hits per nail... that's where all the work was! ...it looks like i talked myself into deserving that compliment after all!
Never-the-less i will take that compliment and bask a while in it! ...and perhaps I'll resolve to be a little more of a man of action around the place... if that were possible!

Buck Rogers
Like Buck Rogers waking up in the 25th Century, here i am emerging from cryogenic deep freeze to once again beat my body and work schedule into the required disciplined state to share a regular blog!
...so here goes...
Wot's bin 'appening then?
Probably a tad too much to fill you in on all in one go! Suffice to say that the Sayer's are currently very well. Alys and Rosie are nearly through their first year in our local state school, having moved from the local Christian School. Nathan has changed from day care to a new 'little school' which he absolutely loves, in contrast to the previous place which produced the opposite emotions on a regular basis.
Ali is now nursing again on a cardiology ward for 2 shifts a week, and I am looking forward to being 'full-time' at One Way Christian Church, Margate as of January!
If you would like any more info then please comment!
Hopefully this will not be merely an annual posting! ...what do you think?
